Tasked with art direction and technical R&D of a 360° stereoscopic pre-rendered environment with a screen to view streaming video content in VR. Three distinct lighting conditions were developed: fully lit, dimmed and screen lit. Code sampled video frames during playback, averaging the hue/saturation/brightness from the video. As a result, screen content dynamically affected room lighting conditions. Senior management were extremely impressed with our work and comissioned additional environments.
